Dewdream or Daygong? (reverse Gijinka)

So....yeah. Long story about the whole Nuz comic dilemma. You see, I was going to work on it right around Thanksgiving 2014, but when my computer's hard drive went kaput and I couldn't do anything for months until I adjusted to the tablet setup on my new computer, I lost my motivation. Now that everything's back in order, all I need to do is script the comic page by page and then draw it out, and then the comic will finally come out. I also have the cover of the comic ready (here sta.sh/0dw3687x7vs ....I uhhh....was listening to my favorite song a lot while brainstorming for stuff related to the comic ), but it'll be a while yet before the first page comes out.

In case you are unfamiliar with how the original comic was going (in which case you spared yourself from a horrible, horrible attempt at making a nuzlocke comic, which is why I'm remaking it) Daydream (originally known as just "Dream" because I couldn't fit "Daydream" into the character limit XP) was mauled by a shiny Absol, which not only left her with some nasty scars on her back, stomach, and hip areas, but caused her pokemon to die if they get "knocked out" in battle, a curse that is only lifted once the Absol that bit you passes away (which is a huge reason why Absol were, and still are, feared in the universe of my Platinum comic), which explains why she looks so rough. In the comic, most of these scars are covered by her clothing, spare the bitemark on her shoulder which is visible so long as she isn't wearing a long-sleeved shirt or jacket.
The reason I decided to make Daydream a Dewgong (I was originally planning to ask for Lapras, but after comparing the Dex entries, which I'll go over in a bit, I chose Dewgong instead) is because she, like me, is very fond of Water types and the ocean, so she was obviously going to be a Water type of some sort. She also loves the cold and the snow, so that's where the Ice half comes in. But as for the other two Water-Ice types, Walrein and Lapras, Walrein is described as a ferocious mass of blubber, which doesn't fit Daydream's character as she is not very violent, and she's rather petite and not very weighty. I almost wanted to make her a shiny Lapras, not only because of the typing and the coloring being spot on, but as stated earlier, Daydream is fairly docile, like Lapras is. However, when looking at Dewgong's dex entries: "Its body is covered with a pure white fur. The colder the weather, the more active it becomes." "It loves to snooze on bitterly cold ice. The sight of this POKéMON sleeping on a glacier was mistakenly thought to be a mermaid by a mariner long ago. "
Daydream has long hair (or thick fur in the case of her being a Dewgong), and because she's supposed to be a braver reflection of myself, she also tends to doze off a lot, whether it be napping or staring off into space, and as stated before, she loves the cold and becomes very peppy when the temperature gets low. I just thought that this fit too well, and I just HAD to make her a Dewgong.
So....yeah. I hope it turned out good.
